Our Visits With Gruffalo! By Room 14

Here are some of the highlights from the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo's Child visiting us!

Buck, Panlong and the Gruffalo - By Elizabeth

Once upon a time there was a bear called Buck. One day Buck called his cousin to see if he could go on an adventure. His cousin said, "Yes!" so they went on an adventure to the jungle. Then they stopped and went in the jungle with his cousin named Panlong.

While they were walking in the jungle. they heard a funny noise. When Buck and Panlong turned around they saw a monster and his name was the Gruffalo. They were so scared so they ran out of the jungle. When they were nearly in front of the car, Panlong and Buck saw the Baby Gruffalo and so they went home.

Panlong comes from China and Gruffalo comes from the forest. Once upon a time, Panlong came to the forest and went for a stroll in the deep, dark woods. A mouse saw the bear and the bear looked good. Then the mouse said, "Do you want to have tea in my log?"

"It's frightfully nice of you but no," said the bear. "I am going to have tea with a Gruffalo. Bye!"

But who was the person standing in front of him? It was the Gruffalo!

"Hello!" said the bear and off he went, far away from the Gruffalo.

Gruffalo Goes On An Adventure - by Jedidiah

Once upon a time there was a monster called the Gruffalo. He had a child named after him called the Gruffalo's Child. They both went to the forest to go on an adventure. When they got halfway, the little Gruffalo was tired. Big Gruffalo said, "Come on! We are nearly finished!" But the little Gruffalo said, "No! I'm too tired."

When the Little Gruffalo got up they went on. When they were almost there they saw two fat mice and they looked good to eat so they ate them up.

They both said, "YUM!"

Hello - The Gruffalo Is Back!

Just when you were beginning to wonder what the Gruffalo has been doing, here he is back with lots of news!

There have been some fantastic days and nights staying with the children in our class and now the Gruffalo is off to Lebanon for a holiday to visit another school, while the Gruffalo's Child is going to Singapore for some sunshine! Be sure to read this blog to keep up with their adventures and also, check out the cool pix from the visits!

Dear Mrs Rivett

The Gruffalo's child has been very busy and naughty this weekend. He went to Wakaaranga School for a picnic. He rode on the back of Cate's bike and he a helmet so he wouldn't get hurt. He had the most fun at the birthday party saying hi to all the girls.

He was a little sneaky climbing out the window to have a swim. Lucky we caught him before he got wet.

We will miss his cuddles but he looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
